Life catches you off-guard.
Have you ever been in an unexpected situation? Was it good or bad? How did you respond? The answer might be obvious; we have all had our share of abrupt experiences, whether we liked them or not.
All this to say, I have been recently caught up in the thought of how unfortunately fortunate I am. Long story short, college has started up for me yet again and new challenges presented themselves. Also, over this past summer, I spent my precious time introspecting and changing my attitude toward future responsibilities.
In both my moments of weakness and of resolute determination, I would pray earnestly to God for some sort of change for good. I aimed to learn independently—with God’s help—and to attack my anxious self with reasonable confidence and to pursue the opportunities ahead.
Unfortunately fortunate? Yes, God responds to almost every prayer by providing the most narrow, difficult paths to direct me. My thought process is that I should wholly trust His direction even if it means I will struggle or suffer emotionally from it. Without a doubt, this is by far the hardest pursuit I have taken.
I have never felt so much grace from God. This world is not untouched by God’s influence. He does not force us to do anything, but, as a believer in Jesus Christ, I testify that the Holy Spirit moves us in inconceivable ways.
I am caught in the right place, right now.
