Stop Trying

Stop trying, you’ll only make it worse
Let the words slip by, and forget about the verse.

Care not for the meaning or every little beat
Just carry, carry on, and let the phrases meet.

Write it out but don’t keep it in
Speak on out, as much as you can.

Ready or not, words will come
Do not regret what you have done.

Give it a second or even an hour
Make up a story, like stories in a tower.

No one can tell you what is wrong and to be right
So build it on high and out of our sight.
