(March 6, Sunday)
I went to get dinner with my roommates and we ended up sitting outside talking for about an hour and thirty minutes. Somehow we got on the topic of homosexuality and its moral implications (it was probably my doing). Nonetheless, one of my roommates is gay and we had an awesome, civil discussion, not argument, about his beliefs and stance on various circumstances. In his own religious and moralistic views, he is honestly struggling but still finding answers to his own questions. I support and appreciate his current direction and intentions to conclude any problems. It was intriguing too when my other roommate’s girlfriend’s father, who is a pastor, gave his two cents on love from the same religious worldview. In short, I can say I really enjoy deep discussions like these because I become eager to listen and perhaps share some of my own light in hopes to help.
