It’s always the dreary, rainy days when happiness is not let in. We close our doors and windows while watching from afar, maybe hoping for a sign of happiness. When this lightning strikes, we see it, even just for a split second. Sometimes the surrounding rain–depressing thoughts–distract from the lightning. But it’s too difficult to capture the moment, to keep it there. As enjoyable as it was, it didn’t last forever. That is, to its extent, our approval of happiness in distress.
