Character

We are held back by maturity
Our true self is hidden with purpose
But if we drop the mask and grasp our feelings
A beautiful, unique, bewildering charm is taken up
And our doors are opened, shared, kept, loved
The uncontrollable emotions might be too much
–Yet it is all the more precious–
When the mask is merged with its enemy
An everlasting relationship becomes destiny.

  1. Wow – you are so talented! Keep writing! 🙂 I’m trying to limit my comments – as I read these in bulk (had some time to myself tonight and needed some good poetry and thought for company) – so I don’t overwhelm :P. I’ll just keeping pushing “like” and hopefully it comes across as compliment enough…

    1. No problem! I appreciate your compliments and comments. Read and comment as much as you desire; I have plenty of time to spare. I write more than I read, and that is something I wish to balance out sooner than later. 🙂
